Cherokee Builders, Inc. was established in 1995 with a primary focus on site clearing, grading, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete paving, curb & gutter, site utilities, and specialty concrete structures specific to site work. Cherokee Builders management team has decades of experience in all phases of site construction. It has a unique understanding of what clients need and aggressive ways to accomplish projects based on well-rounded construction experiences.

Leadership

Heidi McNair
President / Owner
Heidi McNair is the President of Cherokee Builders, Inc. Taking over the leadership role of the company after the passing of its founder and her late husband Dick McNair in 2020. Since then, she has sustained the vision of Mr. McNair’s for Cherokee Builders to be the premier site contractor for NE Oklahoma all the while adding her own vision for growth, new markets, and a family atmosphere. Before taking the reins of Cherokee Builders, Heidi controlled the reins of McNair Farms where she raised show horses and was the home to World Champion Stallion & Reserve World Champion Sire Hot Impulse.

Andy Anderson
Exec. Vice President
Andy has been in the civil industry since his childhood starting out working alongside his grandfather doing small dirt work projects. He began his professional career in the industry over 20 years ago graduating from Pittsburg State University with a bachelor’s in construction management. He began at Cherokee Builders as a project coordinator and through the mentorship of the company’s founder, Dick McNair, quickly climbed the ranks. He has estimated and managed projects from $10,000.00 to $20,000,000.00 in value for site work packages, covering Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Texas. Along the way he has proven to be a leader in the industry and in the company. Acting as a valuable resource to owners and general contractors working through budgetary design ideas and issues to developing and training new hires in estimating and project management.

Donn Anderson
Controller
Donn Anderson is an Oklahoma native who has extensive background in all areas of accounting. After joining Cherokee Builders, Inc. team in 2009 as the accounts payable and accounts receivable manager, she has grown alongside the company into her current role as the Controller. Her responsibilities cover all financial operations, including financial reporting, treasury functions, billing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, credit and collections, and other related business services.

Jason Cubbage
General Superintend
Jason attended OSU in Stillwater and received a Construction Management degree from OSUIT. Jason has been employed with Cherokee Builders since 2001, when he started as a Utility Superintendent. In 2010 Jason was promoted to his current position as General Superintendent in charge of field operations, equipment, and personnel.

David Hall
Sr. Project Manager
David Hall joined Cherokee Builders in 2001 after graduating from OSUIT construction management program. David started as a Project Coordinator with Cherokee Builders and has since established himself as a site utility Project Manager and Estimator. David has managed projects up to $10,000,000.00. David has shown with his 20 plus years of experience he is a resource to clients and GC’s in the design and construction phases in identifying site utility issues and resolutions that will meet municipalities design criteria.

Nick Wolf
Sr. Project Manager / Estimator
Nick has over 30 years of experience in the civil construction industry. An Oklahoma State University graduate, Nick started his career in the field as a laborer and has worked his way up to a senior management serving as a superintendent, project manager, and estimator along the way. Nick is experienced in excavation, underground utilities, asphalt paving, concrete paving, and bridge construction. He is passionate about workforce development and introducing the next generation of workers to the opportunities that exist in our industry. A husband and father of two boys, Nick can be found on a ball field or the water being a dad during his free time

Matt Letney
Project Manager / Estimator
Matt Letney joined Cherokee Builders in 2019, after receiving a Construction management degree from OSUIT. Matt began his Career with Cherokee Builders as an Assistant Superintendent and was promoted to Project Manager/ Estimator in 2020. Matt has bid, won, and managed multiple projects ranging from $200,000.00 to $8.5 million for Cherokee Builders. Matt has experience in site concrete, utilities, and earthwork. Matt now focuses on estimating and managing earthwork and site concrete for Cherokee Builders.
